

Ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) supports, specifically pile-based PV systems, are a major category within ground-mounted PV support systems. "Pile driving" refers to the use of hydraulic pile drivers or rotary pile equipment to directly drive piles (such as steel piles, spiral piles, or precast concrete pipe piles) into the ground, serving as the load-bearing foundation for the PV support. This eliminates the need for extensive excavation and concrete pouring, enabling rapid installation of the PV array. Compared to traditional cement independent foundations or strip foundations, pile-based solutions avoid large-scale earthwork and concrete curing periods, offering significant advantages in complex terrain and soft soil conditions. This drastically shortens the construction period, making it particularly suitable for the large-scale development of medium to large-scale ground-mounted PV power plants.
