Wuhu Offers ¥1M Annual Subsidy for PV+Storage Projects for Five Years

Recently, the People's Government of Wuhu City, Anhui Province, issued the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Promotion and Application of Photovoltaic Power Generation" (referred to as the "Opinions"). The document clearly states:

Installation target: By 2025, the city's cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation is expected to reach over 2.6 million kilowatts (2.6 GW).

Building‑integrated target: By 2025, for all new public institutional buildings within the city that have roofs suitable for PV installation, efforts will be made to achieve a photovoltaic coverage rate exceeding 50%.

2. Strengthen policy support with financial subsidies for PV projects

  • Energy storage batteries must comply with relevant industry standards.

• • Subsidies will be granted to operators based on the actual discharge volume of the storage power station, at a rate of 0.3 yuan per kilowatt‑hour.

• • The subsidy calculation period begins the month after the project is connected to the grid and operational.

• • The annual subsidy cap for a single project is 1 million RMB.

• • Applicable project scope: Projects that enter operation from the date this document is issued through December 31, 2023.

• • Subsidy duration for a single project: 5 years.

• For roof reinforcement and renovation of existing buildings carried out to meet PV installation requirements:
• • A reward equal to 10% of the reinforcement and renovation cost will be given.

• • The reward cap for a single project: no more than 0.3 yuan per watt of the corresponding installed PV capacity.

• • Applicable project scope: Projects connected to the grid from the date this document is issued through December 31, 2023.
