Product Description

The corrugated clamp is a photovoltaic support connector specifically designed for corrugated corrugated steel sheet (i.e., sinusoidal or arc-shaped corrugated steel sheet) roofs. Corrugated corrugated steel sheets are characterized by continuous, rounded transitions between crests and troughs, commonly found in early factories, warehouses, and carports.

 

The clamp's bottom is designed with a curved surface that perfectly conforms to the arc crests of the corrugated steel sheet. Stainless steel self-tapping screws penetrate the clamp's base plate and the corrugated steel sheet, securely locking it to the steel purlins of the roof below. This safely transfers the load of the photovoltaic modules and support structure to the main building structure, ensuring the entire photovoltaic system has excellent wind and snow resistance.

Important Notes:

Tile Type Confirmation

Always measure the crest width, height, and curvature of the corrugated sheet beforehand. Select a clamp with a perfectly matching curvature; otherwise, it may not adhere properly or could damage the sheet surface.

 

Purlin Targeting is Essential

Self-tapping screws must penetrate the corrugated steel sheet and be driven into the underlying steel purlin (effective depth ≥ 20mm). They cannot simply be fixed to the sheet.

 

Strict Waterproofing

EPDM waterproof washers must be installed at the self-tapping screw penetration point, and weather-resistant silicone sealant (such as Dow Corning or Sika) must be applied to the contact surface between the screw head and the clamp.

 

Torque Control

Do not use excessive torque when tightening self-tapping screws to prevent stripping or crushing of the corrugations. Hex socket head cap screws must be tightened to the specified value to prevent loosening.

 

Regular Inspection

It is recommended to check for bolt loosening and sealant aging every six months or after windy weather.
