Product Description

The trapezoidal clamp is a photovoltaic (PV) bracket connector specifically designed for trapezoidal corrugated steel roofs. It secures the PV rails to the roof by clamping the sides of the corrugated steel roof, eliminating the need for any mounting holes in the roof. This product solves the problem of reduced roof sealing that can occur with traditional through-mounting methods and is one of the most widely used bracket accessories in commercial and industrial distributed PV projects.

Applicable Scenarios

Important Notes:

 Tile Type Confirmation

Before selection, a cross-sectional diagram of the corrugated steel tile or on-site sampling is required to confirm the wave height, opening width, and angle. Otherwise, clamping failure or insufficient clamping force may occur.

 

 Material Selection

In coastal areas, heavily polluted industrial environments, or high-humidity environments, 304 stainless steel clamps or aluminum alloy clamps with an oxide film thickness ≥15μm are recommended.

 

 Tightening Torque Control

Insufficient torque will cause clamp slippage, while excessive torque may crush the corrugations or damage bolt threads. It is recommended to use a torque wrench and refer to the design values.

 

 Buffer Pads

If the tile coating is thin or has high surface finish requirements, clamps with EPDM pads should be used to avoid direct metal-to-metal contact that could scratch the coating.

 

 Load Verification

The load-bearing capacity of the clamps is affected by multiple factors such as tile strength, spacing, and bolt preload. It must be verified by a structural engineer based on local wind pressure, snow pressure, and component layout.

 

 Installation sequence

It is recommended to install and lock the fixture first, then install the guide rail, and finally adjust the alignment as a whole to avoid loosening of the fixture due to reverse process.
