The trapezoidal clamp is a solar mounting solution specifically designed for trapezoidal corrugated steel roofs.
It secures the PV rails to the roof by clamping to the trapezoid rib of the corrugated steel roof. The screws will be drill into roofing sheet or into purlins under roof, to ensure stable installation. This solution is widely used in commercial and industrial distributed PV projects.

Product Components

Advantages
▶ High installation efficiency
Utilizes bolt locking, allowing for single-person operation, resulting in fast construction and low labor costs.
▶ Excellent weather resistance
Made of anodized aluminum alloy (film thickness ≥10μm) or 304/316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and adaptability to coastal and industrial environments.
▶ Reliable mechanical properties
The overall tensile and shear strength design values of the clamps are calculated to meet the safety requirements of large-span, high-wind-pressure areas.

Applicable Scenarios
▪ Corrugated metal roof for industrial and commercial buildings (power plants, logistics parks, manufacturing workshops, warehouses, etc.)
▪ Corrugated steel roofing sheet with trapezoidal corrugated sections
Important Notes:
▶ Roof Type Confirmation
This clamp is only suitable for metal roof panels with trapezoid rib, not for klip lok or standing seam type. The dimensions of roof rib must be confirmed before production. Otherwise, clamping failure or insufficient clamping force may occur.
▶ Tightening Torque Control
Insufficient torque will cause clamp slippage, while excessive torque may crush the corrugations or damage bolt threads. It is recommended to use a torque wrench and refer to the design values.
▶ Buffer Pads
If the roofing sheet coating is thin or has high surface finish requirements, clamps with EPDM pads should be used to avoid direct metal-to-metal contact that could scratch the coating, which also ensure waterproof.
▶ Load Verification
The load-bearing capacity of the clamps is affected by multiple factors such as roofing sheet strength, spacing, and bolt preload. It must be verified by a structural engineer based on local wind pressure, snow pressure, and component layout.
▶ Load Calculation
The number and spacing of clamps should be calculated by a structural engineer based on local wind speed, snow load, roof span, and other conditions.
▶ Installation According to Specifications
Bolts must be tightened to the specified torque (usually 16-20 N·m) using a torque wrench. Overtightening may damage the ridge, while undertightening may cause slippage.
▶ Roof Condition Inspection
Before installation, ensure the roof panels are free from severe rust, deformation, or coating peeling; otherwise, the clamping force may be insufficient.
▶ Regular Inspection
It is recommended to check the clamp tightness annually, especially after typhoons or heavy snowfalls.
▶ Grounding Connection
If metal rails are used, proper grounding between the components and the roof must be performed according to electrical specifications.
▶ Avoid Mixing
Clamps from different brands or batches may have dimensional variations and should not be mixed on the same roof.
Summary
Trapezoidal clamps are a reliable solution for trapezoid corrugated metal roofs. The product features a simple structure, weather-resistant materials, and a wide range of compatibility. Combined with proper selection and standardized construction, they can achieve stable and long-lasting PV system fixation on various trapezoidal corrugated steel roofs.
