Product Description

Angular Roof Clamps are rooftop clamps specifically designed for Klip Lok roofs. They clamp onto the ribs of the metal roof, providing a reliable load-bearing point for subsequent installation of PV rails or direct mounting of PV modules. The clamp can also be customized to specific roof rib shape.

 

 

Unlike traditional penetrating type, these roof clamps do not penetrate the metal roofing sheet, so they avoid the risk of leakage caused by drilling and damaging the roof's waterproofing layer. They also prevent damage to the metal roof's coating and structural strength. Important Notes:

Confirming the Tile Type is Crucial

Before purchasing, accurately measure the rib height, rib spacing, and opening dimensions of the color steel roofing sheet to confirm its compatibility with the clamps. It is recommended to provide a cross-sectional drawing of the tile type to the manufacturer for verification.

 

Clamp Spacing Must Be Based on Structural Calculations

The lateral/longitudinal spacing of the clamps should be calculated and determined by a structural engineer based on local wind load, snow load, and the weight of the photovoltaic panels. It should not be arbitrarily increased or decreased.

 

Gaskets are Essential

EPDM or nylon gaskets must be used on the contact surfaces between the clamps and the color steel sheet to prevent direct metal-to-metal friction that could damage the coating and increase friction.

 

Torque Control

A torque wrench must be used during installation. Tighten the bolts according to the manufacturer's requirements (typically 15-20 N·m for M8 bolts). Overtightening may crush the corrugations, while undertightening will result in insufficient wind resistance.
