Angular Roof Clamps are non-drill, specifically designed for Klip Lok type corrugated metal roof photovoltaic power stations. They are fixed to the crests (ribs) of the corrugated roof, providing a load-bearing base for installing rails or directly fixing photovoltaic modules.
This product fundamentally avoids the risk of leakage caused by drilling and damaging the roof's waterproof layer. It is a core component for achieving non-destructive, efficient, and safe installation in industrial and commercial solar photovoltaic projects.

Angular Roof Clamps are rooftop clamps specifically designed for Klip Lok roofs. They clamp onto the ribs of the metal roof, providing a reliable load-bearing point for subsequent installation of PV rails or direct mounting of PV modules. The clamp can also be customized to specific roof rib shape.
Unlike traditional penetrating type, these roof clamps do not penetrate the metal roofing sheet, so they avoid the risk of leakage caused by drilling and damaging the roof's waterproofing layer. They also prevent damage to the metal roof's coating and structural strength. These products are a core component for achiving non-destructive installation, rapid construction, and long-term reliability in commercial and industrial solar PV projects.

Product Components

Advantage
▶ Non-destructive installation, significantly reducing the risk of leaks
The clamp is designed for Klip Lok roof shape without drilling through the roof, to avoid the cause of leaks, and damage to the corrugated steel roof's waterproof layer.
▶ High strength and lightweight, low roof load
The main body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, reducing the load-bearing pressure on old factory buildings. The design single-point pullout resistance exceeds 1500N, providing excellent wind resistance.
▶ Strong weather resistance, matching lifespan
The aluminum alloy is anodized (AA10 or more) , with 304 stainless steel fasteners, which can ensure long term service life without corossion. The design life is ≥25 years, essentially the same as photovoltaic modules.
▶ Quick installation, saving labor
Tightening is achieved with just a socket wrench, eliminating the need for welding or complex tools. Compared to drilling methods, installation efficiency is increased by over 50%, effectively reducing construction costs.

Applicable Scenarios
▪ New or existing industrial plant rooftop made of corrugated metal sheets
▪ Logistics parks, warehouses, carports, etc., with Klip Lok profiled sheet roofs
▪ Rural revitalization, photovoltaic poverty alleviation, and other corrugated steel sheet roof renovation projects
▪ Any Klip Lok roof installation where perforation or damage to the roof is not permitted or appropriate
Important Notes:
▶ Confirming the Tile Type is Crucial
Before purchasing, accurately measure the rib height, rib spacing, and opening dimensions of the color steel roofing sheet to confirm its compatibility with the clamps. It is recommended to provide a cross-sectional drawing of the tile type to the manufacturer for verification.
▶ Clamp Spacing Must Be Based on Structural Calculations
The lateral/longitudinal spacing of the clamps should be calculated and determined by a structural engineer based on local wind load, snow load, and the weight of the photovoltaic panels. It should not be arbitrarily increased or decreased.
▶ Gaskets are Essential
EPDM or nylon gaskets must be used on the contact surfaces between the clamps and the color steel sheet to prevent direct metal-to-metal friction that could damage the coating and increase friction.
▶ Torque Control
A torque wrench must be used during installation. Tighten the bolts according to the manufacturer's requirements (typically 15-20 N·m for M8 bolts). Overtightening may crush the corrugations, while undertightening will result in insufficient wind resistance.
▶ Regular Inspections
It is recommended to conduct random checks on the tightening of the clamp bolts every two years, especially after exposure to extreme wind conditions.
▶ Overall roof waterproofing assessment
Angular Roof Clamps address the leakage risk at the installation point, but cannot solve leakage problems at existing seams, overlaps, ridges, and gutters of the corrugated steel roof. For older roofs, it is recommended to perform waterproofing repairs before installing solar panels.
Summary
Angular Roof Clamps are a mature and widely used non-destructive installation solution for photovoltaic roofing systems made of corrugated steel sheets. Through a drill-free clamping method, they effectively avoid the core risk of leakage caused by drilling damaging the roof's waterproof layer. They also offer advantages such as high strength, lightweight, corrosion resistance, and quick installation. Choosing products from reputable manufacturers that match the tile type and strictly adhering to installation specifications can ensure the safe operation of the photovoltaic power station for over 20 years.
