This product employs continuous cold bending and cold rolling forming technology to transform hot-rolled or cold-rolled carbon steel coil sheets into special-shaped profiles with inner rolled edges. Its typical cross-section is in a groove-like shape, with the ends of the flanges on both sides bending inward into arcs or right-angle rolled edges, forming an "inner rolled ear" structure.

Carbon Steel Solar Ground Mount System - Inward-curved steel is a special structural bracket profile made from high-quality carbon structural steel (such as Q235B) through continuous cold bending processing. Its most notable feature is that the two side edges are repeatedly rolled to form an inner rolled edge structure, which results in a unique reinforced slot-shaped structure of the cross-section, thereby significantly enhancing the bending, torsion, and compression resistance. This product is specifically designed for load-bearing scenarios such as photovoltaic brackets, building supports, and equipment hanging, and is a lightweight and highly strengthened solution to replace traditional angle steel and ordinary channel steel.
Compared with ordinary open-type steel, the inner rolled edge design enables the component to have a higher section moment of inertia and rotation radius under the same weight. The structural stability is significantly better than that of flat-rolled parts of the same thickness.

Advantage
▶ Excellent strength/weight ratio:
The inner rolled edge design significantly increases the cross-sectional rotation radius, with a capacity improvement of approximately 25% to 40% compared to ordinary angle steel of the same weight, effectively reducing the amount of steel used.
▶ Excellent torsional resistance:
The bilateral closed-edge design creates an effect similar to a closed-section shape, and it demonstrates significantly superior torsional resistance and lateral stability compared to ordinary channel steel.
▶ Longer anti-corrosion lifespan:
The hot-dip galvanized layer is uniform and dense, and its outdoor service life can reach 20 to 30 years (depending on the environment), significantly reducing maintenance costs.
▶ Flexible and convenient processing:
It can be cut and punched using ordinary cutting machines and presses, and the length can be adjusted at will on-site; the scale marks reduce measurement errors.
▶ High installation efficiency:
By using the dedicated connecting pieces, "one bolt fixation" can be achieved. No welding is required, which saves labor and auxiliary material costs. It is particularly suitable for high-altitude operations.
▶ Specifications can be customized:
From the cross-sectional shape (wrinkle angle, wrinkle length), wall thickness to the thickness of the galvanized layer, all can be non-standardly customized according to the project load requirements, meeting special design needs.

Applicable Scenarios
▪ Large-scale centralized ground-mounted power stations:
Used as main load-bearing purlins and diagonal braces in open areas such as flat land, grasslands, deserts, and Gobi, forming single-column or double-column support systems.
▪ Commercial and residential ground-mounted photovoltaic systems:
Used as columns, diagonal beams, and horizontal braces in small to medium-sized ground-mounted projects such as factory areas, idle rural land, and around agricultural greenhouses.
▪ Concrete flat roofs (with additional supports):
Used in conjunction with ballast foundations as inclined or flat purlins supporting photovoltaic modules.
▪ Aquaculture-solar hybrid and agricultural-solar hybrid systems:
Used as the main load-bearing profile when the overhead height is high, effectively resisting wind loads and corrosion from long-term humid environments (requires galvanized aluminum-magnesium plating or reinforced anti-corrosion treatment).
▪ Mountainous and sloping terrain:
Adaptable to terrain slopes of 5-15° by adjusting the height difference between the front and rear columns and using the connecting elongated holes of inward-rolled C-shaped steel.
Important Notes:
▶ Selection calculation:
Please, based on the actual loads (static load, dynamic load, wind load, snow load) and support spacing, have the structural engineer review the bearing capacity of the section. Do not blindly select based on experience.
▶ Galvanizing layer protection:
After on-site cutting or drilling, the cut surface should be coated with zinc-rich repair paint to prevent rust from spreading from the surface.
▶ Connection fitting:
Only use the special connecting pieces that perfectly match the inner rolled edge shape. Ordinary angle iron clips cannot securely lock and are prone to loosening.
▶ Installation torque:
The tightening torque of the bolts must be carried out in accordance with the design requirements. If it is too tight, it may cause edge curling deformation; if it is too loose, it will not have sufficient anti-slip ability.
▶ Storage protection:
During transportation and storage, avoid deformation caused by heavy objects pressing on it; for long-term outdoor storage, elevate it to prevent moisture and protect against damage to the galvanized coating.
▶ Welding restrictions:
If welding is indeed necessary, low-hydrogen welding rods should be selected, and the heat input should be controlled. After welding, reapply anti-corrosion treatment - full bolt connection is highly recommended.
Summary
Carbon steel bracket - Inner rolled steel is a special structural profile that achieves lightweight and high strength through the cold bending and inner rolling edge construction. It integrates high load-bearing capacity, excellent torsional resistance, convenient installation, and long-term weather resistance, making it an ideal basic component for modern steel structure support systems. It avoids the drawbacks of traditional steel, such as being heavy, requiring a large amount of welding, and insufficient corrosion prevention. It is particularly suitable for engineering projects that have strict requirements for construction speed, later maintenance, and the total life cycle cost. Whether it is in the field of photovoltaic new energy, building mechanical and electrical systems, or municipal facilities, the inner rolled steel bracket can provide safe, economical, and sustainable support solutions.
